Washington DC: Vineyards & Bridal Showers

Last Friday, after a super delayed (surprise, surprise) Amtrak ride down to D.C. for my soon-to-be sister-in-law's bachelorette weekend, I arrived in Union Station. This is what greeted me in the bathroom of the train station.

Self-explanatory.

Based on that, I knew it would be a great weekend.

The weekend was a super relaxed celebration of the bride-to-be, her friends, and family. Her sister and best friend planned an incredible breakfast and lunch spread for Saturday's tour of Virginia wineries (all of which were completely different and utterly delicious). After watching a 90s rom-com or two, we headed out to explore Old Town Alexandria and enjoy a giant seafood dinner at The Wharf (I highly recommend the crab cakes). The next day was the bridal shower at my parents' house in Baltimore. It was filled with an insane amount of homemade food, an incredible cake baked by the bride's sister, and a lovely terrarium-making station planned by the bride's brother. I was so happy to be able to celebrate with my future family!
