The Packing List: An Upstate Affair

This weekend kicks off my summer wedding season (a little late, I know). As with the few other weddings I've attended in the past couple years, this one is a Friday through Sunday affair, making it a long weekend retreat. Though it takes place in the woods of upstate New York, its events have a more formal vibe than some of the others I've been to. I'm going for the cool, summer camp-meets-formal vibe. Whatever that means.

Here's what's coming with me to the Catskills.

If you're wondering how I'm getting there without a car, wonder no more. Instead of renting a car for upwards of $200/day here in NYC, I'm taking Metro North up to the last stop (Poughkeepsie) and renting a car from there for just $30/day. Saving on money AND avoiding getting stuck in city traffic? Win win.

I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend in the woods. After a super stressful past week, I think I've earned it.
