NYC: #TBT Brooklyn Half Marathon 2019

NYC

It’s been about one month since I ran my 10th half marathon and I’m still recovering (JK). It’s been a busy month, so I thought I’d take a look back to early Spring when I made the 13.1-mile journey from the Brooklyn Museum of Art, around Prospect Park, and down to Coney Island.

It wasn’t my fastest race (in fact, it was my slowest by A LOT), but I had a blast. I literally ran into my coworker along the route and we kept each other motivated through the end of the race.

Then I caught up with a few other (faster) coworkers and grabbed a beer at the famed Luna Park.

Check out the whole race and pre-party:

There’s really nothing quite like running onto a highway entrance ramp and breezing down a usually packed highway with 20,000 strangers. If you’re at all curious about running a half marathon, this is a great one to try. It’s not too hilly or too flat, and it ends at the beach!
