The Playlist: 2018 Race Training!

It's always a good feeling knowing you made it to February, amirite? Winter is a long, long slog, and the quicker it's over, the better IMHO.

But it's also the moment when those resolutions start to falter. Which is basically why I don't make resolutions at all. Resolutions rarely last.

That said, staying on a strong workout regimen has never been a big challenge for me since I enjoy working out. But I recognize the struggle is real for many.

And personally, I had to pull back on running last year after a lovely Sole of the City in which I had to stop juuuuust before the finish line to vomit. It turned out I needed to make room in my training schedule for two very fun invasive surgeries.

So this year I'm determined to go surgery-free (cross your fingers for me) and get back on that race game. First on deck? D.C.'s Cherry Blossom 10-Miler. And by the end of this racing season, I'm really hoping for a shot at the New York Marathon.

All this is to say I'm ready for spring, and I am ready for some new tunes. Or at least a mix of some old jams (I've been listening to so many podcasts, I'm not even sure what good new music is out there...any recs?).

If you need some gym jams to keep you motivated, take a listen to my 2018 race training playlist!

Happy Music Monday!
