The Packing List: Jazz Age Wedding Party

What happens when two brilliant doctors fall in love and decide to get married? A Jazz Age roaring '20s wedding party, of course! Next weekend, Mike and I will once more be traveling upstate to celebrate the union of good friends. Though this time, instead of a camp, the wedding is taking place in the artsy town of Beacon, NY. I like to think of Beacon as the Williamsburg of the Hudson region. Besides being next to a truly awesome museum (which we'll definitely be visiting!) the reception is taking place inside of a converted textile factory overlooking a waterfall. Could it be any more perfect?! Yes, it could, and it will be. Because the entire party is dressing in the most fabulous Gatsby getups we can find (the adorable couple had one of their first dates at the Governor's Island Jazz Lawn Party!).

Here's what's coming with me:

We'll be going up (via Metro North, what else?) on Thursday night for the rehearsal and celebrating on Friday night in our '20s finest. During the day Friday, I plan on scoping out the museum and taking in the boutiques and cafes that line the picture-perfect streets of town. Stay tuned!
