The Beach: MICA Camp 2016

Every summer, Jen and her college crew head to the Epstein beach house in Rehoboth, DE, for a long beach weekend that Jen's mom Leslie fondly calls "MICA camp." This year Jen invited me along; I like to think this is because I am her other significant other.

Anyway, it was basically perfect. Her MICA friends are dolls, welcoming me right into the fold. Leslie stocked the house to the gills with junk food and booze. We could not have asked for more gorgeous weather. We spent time on the beach, on a boat in the Rehoboth Bay, and many a happy hour eating twice our weight in seafood. All my love to the MICA crew for making me feel welcome and making me laugh until I cried on more than one occasion, and super big thanks to Leslie and Gary for the hospitality!

I must say, coming back to Baltimore was rough. I shook my fist at the very rude jolt back to reality yesterday when some asshole in a MINIVAN honked at me and shouted "Hey, baby!" out the window. But I'm trying to hold onto the good vibes despite a particularly raging case of the Mondays, so take a look at our beach weekend and don't have (too much) FOMO.

P.S. If you too have a case of the Mondays, why not procrastinate a little, and play the very first HTJL Challenge?!
