Texas: Warm Weather in Dallas

It's looks like a tornado of snow outside my window right now...

"You can't tell, but the snow is flying in circles that make no gravitation sense." - Jen Epstein, Scientist

And as much as I love winter weather trips, I'm already looking forward to warmer destinations. Specifically, I'm hoping to visit my friend, Anabelle, in South America. In just a few weeks, she'll being her year-long adventure with Remote Year and I couldn't be more excited for her (and not just because it gives me an excuse to see new places!). Depending on when I get my new passport (stupid renewals!), I might have to wait for another continent.

In any case, this snow has got me thinking about my trip last year to Dallas, where the temps hovered around 90, summer ales were the drink of choice, and the pool called my name on a daily basis. My lovely host, Cat, and her cat, Phyllis, showed me around the best parts of the Dallas area including Bishop Arts, White Rock Lake, and Deep Ellum. I also saw "iconic" Dallas like the Dealy Plaza, the JFK memorial, the original Neiman Marcus and the Science Museum.

Check out my visit and remember what summer is.
