After outlining our Montreal to-do list, I took a break from planning our Canadian getaway. Now that a hateful talking Cheeto has become the official Republican nominee for President of the United States, I think it's time to get back to seeing what our neighbors up north have to offer (you know...in case we end up never coming back).
This UNESCO World Heritage site is a no-brainer. It's the former capital of "New France" and has kept its original colonial architecture and charms. There's a ton packed into this tiny area including the famous Cheateau Frontenac and the Citadelle of Quebec! Luckily for us, we're staying right in the center of it all in our super cute Airbnb!
It wouldn't be a Jen & Staci trip without delicious noms. Though we're quite capable of eating our way through a city ourselves, it never hurts to get some local insight into some hidden gems! Our food tour in Madrid certainly taught us that. Can't wait to see what Quebec has to offer!
Just a quick drive out of the city center lies the beautiful countryside featuring an epic waterfall that rivals Niagara Falls. The tour we'll take rambles along the countryside, passing through traditional villages and farms along the Beaupre Coast. We'll also do a quick stop at the Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré church, and visit the western tip of the Island of Orleans for the famous Chocolaterie!
Looks like there will be a lot of relaxing and eating on this part of the trip. Sounds perfect to me!
