I'll be honest, I'm not sure what to expect when I drive up to Hunter Mountain tomorrow considering it's supposed to be 70 degrees. Back in December, Mike, a few friends, and I decided to get a three-day pass with cheap lift tickets for Hunter and figure out later in the season when we'd go. Well, thanks to a combination of my dumb training schedule and the absurdly warm winter we had, we ended up booking a trip for late in the season -- in other words, right now.
I'm fairly new to skiing, and haven't actually gone in warmer weather, so I'm a little unsure what to pack. Considering that I got an e-mail this morning saying that this weekend is the Vita Coco Beach Bash on the mountain, I don't think my concerns are unfounded. (Any tips for water skiing?!)
Since I finally got my own pair of ski boots and skis last year for my birthday (thanks, Mom and Dad!) I'd like to actually get some use out of them. Besides my gear, here's what I think is coming with me upstate...
Neff Daily Heather Beaine, 6pm $10.99
Cotton Flannel Shirt, H&M $9.99
Cotton Cashmere Sweater, Uniqlo $19.90
Legging Pants in Black, Uniqlo $24.90
Nike Revolution 3 Shoes, Kohl's $44.99
Nike Aeroloft 800 Vest, Dick's $134.99
Basically, I'm prepared for all athletic activities from swimming to hiking to skiing. This is probably the most I've packed for a long weekend. Thanks a lot, weather.
