Currently my aunt, uncle, and cousins are traipsing around Paris, enjoying wine, cheese, and all the art they can handle. Next week, my friends will be doing the same, only with an additional 26.2 miles. Nick Jonas put it best, "It’s my right to be hellish, I still get jealous." HOW DARE YOU CHEAT ON ME WITH OTHER PEOPLE, PARIS!?
In my 2015 travel wish list, I wrote that I'd be joining said friends in the City of Light. But alas, I'll be cheering (still with baguette and wine in hand, dammit!) from 3,626 miles away. A girl can only take so many vacation days, and I'm saving them up for our next big trip (details soon!).
It goes without saying, but Staci and I loved our time in Paris. Between the food, the art and the people, Paris might be my favorite city in the world (original, I know). Nothing can compare to watching the sunrise from our window overlooking the Canal Saint-Martin neighborhood or riding a bike (maybe illegally?) up the Champs-Élysées at night. Also: Du Pain et Des Idees. I can't stress that enough.
Get nostalgic with me as I look back on our time there and cry silently at my desk.
P.S. Don't forget to check out Max's blog in the next couple of weeks for a great post on his trip to Paris!
