Besides the traditional Chinese feast on Christmas Eve, I have a lot of fun holiday-type things planned. Will I get to it all? Most definitely not, but it's fun to plan, amirite?
Here's whats on my list (I've checked it twice. Boom!):
I don't know how, but I haven't been out to Brooklyn Flea in Industry City yet. I plan on fixing that immediately. Awesome food? Check. Good shopping? Check. They're even open on 12/26 and 12/27!
Staci and I are no strangers to museums, but I haven't been to one here in NYC in far too long. I take it for granted that I live in a city with so much amazing art. I rarely take advantage of it. There's a special holiday exhibit right now at the Met (in the Cloisters building) that I hope to check out.
Before my festive Chinese feast, I plan to walk over to Washington Square Park to get in the holiday spirit by taking in a show by some professional singers! After all, it'll be nearly 70 degrees, so I might as well get outside and enjoy the weather!
I've run all of the major bridges in the city, but never the elevated train track on the west side of the city -- it's been on my to-do list for a while! The main reason I haven't tackled this one yet? Gotta get to it early, as it gets packed with tourists as early at 9 a.m. I'm hoping that a holiday run here will be empty!
Happy holidays from NYC!
