So I know that by now you guys are probably like "OK Staci, we get it. You hate winter." And I hear you. Winter isn't just coming. It's here. Like maybe not technically, but I keep hearing the words "polar" and "vortex," and it's officially the holidays.
Therefore for this Throwback Thursday, we're taking a break from shoving warm-weather photos in your face, and I'm honoring the fact that this time last year, I drunkenly made the decision to fly halfway across the world to ski in northern Japan, being all "Tokyolo!"
So today in honor of the fact that is actually, really, unfortunately December, here are some pictures of Niseko, a ski town in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. True skiers (i.e., not me) really love Niseko because there's a shit ton of snow. Like it's geographically close to Siberia, so...yeah. You can "twilight ski" in the evening hours and then replenish yourself with some sushi. It's pretty cool too because once you've had enough, you can just fly on down to Tokyo!
