Well slackers, Hanukkah is almost over and Christmas is mere days away, so there's only one Gift Guide left for this year because frankly bitches, you're out of time. One traveler on your list might be the friend who loves to travel, but can't leave anytime soon -- this is the staycationer. We wish we fell into this category, but since we've squandered (read: wisely but gratuitously used) all of our time off this year to travel to some bomb-ass places around the world, we're not even staycationing. We're working. If we weren't though, here are some gifts we'd like.
1. Airport Code Throw Pillows, Airportag $24.90
These cute pillow covers feature a variety of airport codes to commemorate the places the staycationer on your list has been. In fact, they're so cute, your staycationer might not even want to daytime nap on them and risk drool damage.
2. Illustrated City Prints, Etsy $27-$70
Karen Young's Etsy shop (Loose Petals) specializes in destination prints and greeting cards. This is the perfect way to remember a favorite city from the comfort of home.
3. City Posters, Ork! $27
Similarly, these hand-printed posters are a great way to display one's favorite town while gazing wistfully at the wall on a day off of work.
4. Airport Code Shirt, Pilot&Capt $32
These cute t-shirts show airports from all over the world and look great with no pants. Casual Monday, anyone?
5. Netflix Gift Card, Netflix various amounts
What to do with all the time off? Binge-watch something on Netflix, of course. An easy gift of hours of entertainment without having to leave the house.
6. You Only Live Once, Lonely Planet $29.95
Need travel inspiration? This book is a visual bucket list of experiences from around the globe from tasting the world's hottest chili peppers to the best birding, safaris, train rides, and castles. YOLO!
7. The World's Best Cities, National Geographic $40
A well-curated list of National Geographic's top city picks. It includes over 220 of the world's most well-known and more obscure destinations. Each city includes awesome photos and vital stats, best local foods, oddities, and more.
8. Better Than Fiction, Lonely Planet $15.99
A collection of original travel stories told by some of the world’s best novelists! Quality reading for some cozy downtime on the couch.
Your move, procrastinators -- get on it!
