We're sticking with the Greece theme for this edition of Throwback Thursday! Opa! Last week I told you how my friends and I spent some time in Athens for spring break during my semester abroad, and during our time there, we took a day trip to Delphi, where there is a temple in honor of Apollo and where the Greek oracle Pythia supposedly did her thing. After Athens, we took a long, relaxing ferry ride to Santorini, one of the lesser known Greek Isles. We happened to be there during Greek orthodox Easter, and the island was pretty dead except for one night, which was their Carnivale. That night, as we walked around the streets, everyone was out singing, dancing, and bopping each other over the heads with fungos. It was pretty bizarre but also one of the best nights I've had abroad. It was too cold for sunbathing, but the red- and black-sand beaches in Santorini are flawless, the pristine white and blue buildings are stunning, and my sunset photos don't do the sunsets justice. Enjoy a virtual tour of Delphi & Santorini!
